A project that I was asked to undertake by the Church of England PCC for a very prominent famous and historic church which sits on Kew Green next to the river Thames and of course Kew Gardens. The book is to celebrate St. Anne’s Tercentenary by creating a record for the community to cherish this historic year.
St. Anne’s has close links with The Queen’s Church of England Primary School, this picture shows the children singing during a special VIP afternoon tea party organised at the school to celebrate the 300th Year. I took this shot from the roof as I wanted to capture the ‘red sea’ and the joy in their faces.
My favourite project was the creation of the new font produced by Albion Stone in Portland, Dorset England, who also constructed St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. I just love this idea of a ‘big’ chainsaw’ and if you look closely on the cab window it says ‘powered by fairy dust’.
One of my favourite shots is Chad the Musical Director on the piano. I set up my portable Elinchrom Quadra lights for this image as I wanted to isolate Chads face with the piano – I also love his reflection.
The book is available to order now for £35
