A PRINT FROM THE BOOK ‘A TIME TO FIGHT’ A very special limited to one single print only – Reg Charles – signed on the bottom right in a bronze metallic Sharpie.
Reg Charles was born in 1923. In 1942 he was called up and joined the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.
He trained to waterproof vehicles so they could be driven off the landing craft into the water. Reg was in the transport section running the stores for the battalion and sorted out the vehicles that had been burnt out on the landing beaches.
Three weeks later Reg was on board a troop-carrying ship on his way to France. He joined up with the 1st Battalion. After the Caen area was captured, his Regiment pushed on through the Falaise Gap up towards Belgium, onto Operation Market Garden and into the Reichswald Forest.
