Peter Davies was born in 1923 and initially served in the RAF for two years and trained as a wireless operator and air gunner. In 1942 he was transferred into to the British Army as a wireless operator in a tank regiment.
D-Day – Peter arrived on Sword beach in a British Sherman tank. Peter fought from D-Day to VE Day.
